In Brooklyn!

Hi everyone! After a long trek on the train and then on two subway trains we arrived at the church at about 5pm. It was quite an adventure getting our entire team with all of their luggage on and off those trains and up and down all of those stairs. We did get to use one elevator and one escalator, but other than that, it was all stairs. Good introduction to missions for all of our first-timers. When we arrived all sweat-soaked (OK, I'm the only one that was actually soaked. The ret were moist ... I sweat worse than a taxi driver in Iraq ... seriously!) we were glad to sit in the air-conditioned sanctuary for a few minutes. We then stacked the chairs in the sanctuary and turned it into the gym for tonight's teen and kids' program. After that we had John Long Sloppy Joe's and Pastor Ron and Pastor Anna gave us an orientation. The team is now playing basketball waiting for the kids to show up so we can run the program. More later!

Blessings,

Pastor Kevin
